Melissa began swinging the club at the ripe old age of five under the tutelage of her grandfather. Her love for the game continued to grow beyond the backyard "driving range" and she eventually became a member of the Xavier University Women's Golf Team while earning an undergrad degree in Sports Management and eventually an MBA.

She began administering golf programs in college as the Director of the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf Club of Cincinnati. Her passion for teaching continued after graduation and she became an assistant golf professional at Kenwood Country Club (2003 SOPGA Apprentice Assistant of the Year) and later a PGA Teaching Professional at Meadow Links and Golf Academy (2012 SOPGA Player Development Award winner).

Melissa has always been a competitor on the golf course (1997, 2001 Cincinnati Women's Met Champ; 2004, 2009, 2011 SOPGA Women's Champ with more to come!). Her current endeavors include the Symetra Tour, Cactus Tour, and SunCoast Ladies Series with the ultimate goal of earning a spot on the LPGA Tour. Melissa’s training includes golf fitness workouts/stretching, yoga, swimming, Spirit of Golf peak performance training (mental/emotional/pre-shot routine/breathing...) and countless hours spent on the golf course with her teacher and mentor.
